Mini Oilless Diaphragm Compressor

These Thomas Industries oilless diaphragm compressors are amazingly well built.

This compressor belonged to my father and is over 40yrs old, it worked faultlessly all that time.

It had lots of over spray on it so I decided to give it a revamp.

I repainted it with Hammerite paint, new rubber feet, new sealed bearings all round, re-greased any parts that needed it. Also a new power cable and plug was fitted.

It was quite a job to do but just after I had finished it I had to buy a big compressor with tank to use with air tools and didn't use this compressor at all other than running it for a short while.

When I tried it the other day it seems to get quite hot after running for 5 minutes, I can't remember it getting that hot.

I checked the power cable wring and that all looks fine, there is also some kind of centrifugal switch that I may not have put back together correctly.

I don't have time to investigate further so I'm selling it as it is.

Apart from the heating up the compressor side works perfectly
