An EXCELLENT example of an Original 1970s British South Yorkshire Police Helmet & Badge as issued to serving members known colloquially as "Bobbys". This period item retains all the necessary Insignia and accoutrements, including the original leather lining and headband. It must be noted that the retention chin strap has unfortunately expired due to general wear. Older renditions such as this mid-century type ; are made of Cork and other natural materials that are less sturdy than modern varieties.
This superbly preserved piece, will complement any existing British Police / Global Law Enforcement collection or display - for the enthusiast seeking to expand their Insignia & Uniform assortment.
