THE ROYAL RHODESIAN REGIMENT, WAS THE OLDEST AND LARGEST REGIMENT IN THE RHODESIAN ARMY - HAVING BEEN FORMED IN 1899 DURING THE SECOND ANGLO-BOER WAR. THE REGIMENT COMPRISED OF MAINLY EUROPEAN VOLUNTEERS FROM MATABELELAND IN SOUTHERN RHODESIA, PERFORMING WELL DURING BOTH THE FIRST & SECOND WORLD WARS.
