An EXCELLENT and RARE example of a Second World War (1939-45) South African Tank Corps Metallic Cigarette Case. The South African Tank Corps (SATC) , formed part of the Allied Forces engaged during the North African Campaign. The Regiment participated in the Battles of Tobruk & El-Alamein , before almagation with 1 Special Service Battalion - whereafter the remaining Unit members served in Italy & Palestine until 1945.
