"Premier Electric Hotplate" (England)

What a lovely and rare find this is, an attractive and lovely hotplate that will replace ugly hot trays on the table...must be music to any hostess' ears! Though it is called a hot plate, it is meant as a hot tray, I have tested it and it heats up to the temperature of a hot tray. It is in working condition, it has 2 hot plates, each hot plate has an on/off switch, though these switches are permanently on and one has to switch the appliance off at the wall (it obviously can be used as is but I am sure the on/off switches can be sorted out without too much trouble). The hotplate has 2 pretty wooden handles either side. It measures 60.5cm from handle to handle, the metal top measures 51x25.5cm and it stands 10.5cm tall. The body of the hotplate looks silver plate to me though it could be chrome plated. The 4 ornate feet it stands on have hard rubber bases. The electrical plug that plugs into the hotplate should ideally be secured with electrical tape, there are some open wires showing. Weight: 4.780kg. A couple of spots of tarnishing and plate wear, most notably around the on/off switches, but nothing too serious to detract from the interest and beauty of this item. This item put to to use will transform any table from average to spectacular!
