From the Internet: June was born on 16 December 1944 in Germiston, SA. She matriculated at Boksburg High and became a computer programmer for about 10 years. She has three children, 2 boys and 1 daughter. Her husband died in 1991.

June always painted as a hobby but started to sell her work about 25 years ago. She took art lessons from a Mr Nasa who trained at the Royal Academy of Art. He taught her to copy old masters - with dry brush technique. June has been successful as she has always changed her theme as time has required. June paints from landscapes, flowers, traditional South African scenes to many other themes. She works mainly in oils and acrylic. June is inspired by Van Gogh and locally Hugo Naude, Adriaan Boshoff and Gregoire Boonzaier to mention a few.
