These pieces are in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Bayonet is present and detailed with handle. Blade remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Wooden grip scales are complete with initial inscription. Leather frog is intact & Scabbard present** NOTE : Troddle bale is no longer present on mortise / pommel.**

An EXCELLENT example of Pre-World War I  , Austro-Hungarian M1886/88 Officer's Bayonet w/ Scabbard & Leather Frog. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with Blade and grip-scales intact. Leather retention frog is present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Mortise functions when engaged- Blade still remains sharp , handle with caution.  ** NOTE : TRODDLE  RETENTION BALE ON POMMEL HAS EXPIRED / NO LONGER PRESENT. ** Steel Scabbard remains most of original paint finish.

This piece is the M1886/88 Steyr-Mannlicher Officer's Bayonet for the Straight-pull Rifle system. The variant is characterized by a hooked quillon and troddle retention bale on pommel.
