An EXCELLENT example of RARE, 1920s Kenya Defence Force Cap Badge & 5 x Tunic Buttons. These pieces appear to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. The Lot consists of :

The Colonial Kenya Defence Force was formed in the early 1920s by European Settlers (many of whom were former WW1 Veterans). The function of the formation was to serve as a European conscript Colonial Army for settlement defence. Political interference & mismanagement led to the disbanding of the entity in 1936 - replaced by the Kenya Regiment.
The ideal addition to any British Colonial Era Insignia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
