These pieces are in an GOOD, USED CONDITION-  Blade is present and retains a cutting edge. Bayonet and handle remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. All markings and serial number evident. Scabbard is complete and stamped. Item has been subject to usage in Combat Conditions.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 1936 Italian Ethiopian  Campaign, 1870/87 Vetterli  Corpo d'Eritreo Bayonet w/ Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia/ stamping marks present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Blade has been shortened for usage with the M1891 Carcano Rifle , being issued to Eritrean Askari Troops during the Ethiopian Campaign (1936).

The Vetterli Bayonets were reconditioned and utilised largely by Colonial Forces in overseas Italian territories.
