An EXCELLENT example of a RARE Boer War attested Cape Infantry , Queen's South Africa Medal with Half-Length Silk Ribbon. This piece remains in a well-preserved state, having a minor suspender repair conducted at some point in time. The Cape Infantry is amongst the most sought after Colonial Unit Medals of the Boer War , having been assembled in 1899 and disbanded in early 1900. No fewer than 337 known Queen's South Africa Medals were awarded to former members of the Regiment ( with most having their Medals named to their last Unit of Service). The Recipient, Private L D Becker appears on the QSA Medal Roll - having also been entitled to the King's South Africa Medal.
