An EXCELLENT example of a RARE , 1990s South African Reconnaissance Regiment 'Recce' Maroon Beret w/ Embroidered Insignia and Infantry Balkie. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed 4th Type Lurex Insignia Relief on  obverse and 3rd Type Infantry Balkie. All parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Lining is complete. 

This piece would have been utilised by a member of the South African Armed Forces elite Reconnaissance Regiments or 'Recces'. These Units have attained international recognition for their status as well trained Special Forces. This component of the SA Military have proven their efficiency in various Conflicts from the 1960s to the present day.
