An EXCELLENT example of a WWI Allied Victory Medal with Silk Ribbon , attested to the Honourable Artillery Company. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, with Recipient Name & Service Number present on Medal Rim. The Honourable Artillery Company (H.A.C) is the oldest Regiment in the British Army , having become active in the year 1087 A.D. & incorporated by Royal Charter in 1537 by King Henry VIII.
The Regiment was expanded in 1914 , to three Infantry battalions and seven Artillery batteries - participating in the 1st Battle of Ypres , Battle of the Ancre & the Battle of Arras.
The ideal addition to any First World War, British Military Medal collection or display.
