These pieces were privately cast, in Britain- following the crash-landing of German Zeppelin L33 on a bombing raid over London. The airship was under the command of Kapitan-leutnant Bocker , who guided the offensive action on 23 September 1916.
In total, the raid killed 11 persons- injured 25, being intercepted by Pilot Lt. Alfred Brandon, upon which the Zeppelin crash-landed in the Church yard of Little Wigborough. The Captain and crew were interbed as Prisoners of War and souvenirs were salvaged.
