An EXCELLENT example of World War 2, 1940s Fairbairn-Sykes 3rd Pattern Commando Knife w/ Type 2 Leather Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with original 'Blued' Relief / finish on blade. All parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Grip and blade are secure with fixed ricasso. Leather Scabbard is intact, featuring the Type 2 Press-stud closure and riveted brass chape fitting.
The Double-edged Stiletto Blade remains exceptionally sharp with point intact. This piece retains the cast Zinc knurled grip with 27 ridges. A brass retention nut is present with a cast numeral of '3' near the pommel. This can be associated with one of the following manufacturers:
