Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Original pigskin leather liner & leather Chinstrap with buckle evident. Manufacturers marks & lot Number visible.

An EXCELLENT example of World War 2 , German M40 Steel Helmet w/ original liner and chin-strap. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Camouflage Paint Relief on  obverse. All parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Helmet displays a small dent to the shell ( minimal battle damage). 

The remains of a solid white 'Pocher' pattern Decal is evident on the left-hand side of the shell. This representation is common with issued Police Regiments and post-1942 Polizei Division Helmets.  The Decals added to the newly absorbed formations were of the self-applied , often appearing on the left instead of the right-hand side.
