An EXCELLENT example of RARE, Second World War, 1930s Italian Fascist Colonial Troops Foundation Medal w/ Valour Device. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse and reverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Ribbon is complete with additional Valour Device.
This exceptionally difficult to obtain Award , Commemorates the 1937 'Adunata' or Parade ceremony of the foundation of the Colonial Troops in Rome. The piece features a Valour device bearing the Motto of the Italian Royal House. All Colonial Askari Troops and European Officers received the Medal on 9 May of that year.
