An EXCELLENT example of Second World War, 1940s RAF Pilot's Flying Goggles w/ Strap . This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Laminated glass lenses are intact - displaying minor wear from age. Rubber retention strap is complete, with obvious wear.
The adjustment panel is functional when engaged- whilst all manufacturers markings are visible. Brass frame retains distinctive ' Silvered' lacquer paint finish ( anti- corrosion). This model , MK 8 NO 1 was introduced in early 1944 and continued up be issued during the Korean War in 1953.
