An EXCELLENT example of RARE Second World War, 1940s British Army Royal Engineers 1st Assault Brigade Steel Helmet w/ Liner & Chinstrap. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Desert Camouflage Paint Relief on  obverse. All Unit insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Surface wear will be evident with rust / associated pitting. Original oil-cloth Liner with rubber dome pad is intact w/ webbing Chinstrap. Markings are visible on Helmet Shell and Liner system. 

This piece would have been utilised by members of the Royal Engineers 1st Assault Brigade Unit - featuring all necessary Unit Insignia with a Khaki / Arid Pattern external paint finish.
