An EXCELLENT example of Second World War, SA Air Force Path Finder Bomber Qualification Badge w/ Slide Pin .This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Slide pin evident.

The Path Finder Bomber division was formed in 1943 - as a target marking set of units to locate sites for Bomber Command. The division was set up during Operation Hydra , and was utilised to identify sites such as the V2 Rocket Peenemünde facility.

The ideal addition to any SAAF World  War 2 Era Insignia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
