 REAL OLD WILLOW HAND PRINTED PLATTER BY BOOTH

Ever popular classic " Real Old Willow  38 cm x 30 cm  Dinner Platter, by England china factory Booth's. They were bought by Royal Doulton. These were produced from 1944. These prized Willow dishes are know as the "Antwhistle" design.

Classic Asian Blue Willow characteristics, such as pagodas, willow tree, bridge, three men, and love birds form the decoration on the plate's center. What is unique about this style, is the rich gold border along the rim and inner band of the plate. The edges are scalloped as well. The pattern # is 9072.

It is in a good condition. Some crazing. Still pristine white. Gently used. Minor scratches to surface and minor wear to gilt along edge. Hardly noticeable. Back clearly marked with Real Old Willow, Booth's "book" mark, and Made in England.

If you love Blue Willow dishes, you will love these. They are the Cadillac of the popular Asian classic design.
