"Reserved" Antique Saharan Toubu Tribal Sleeve Dagger With Sheath.

The Toubu (Tebu, Toubou) are a Saharan cultural group within the current political boundaries of Chad, Niger and Libya.  The dagger handle and finial is covered in hand-tooled leather in the traditional black and red tribal colours.  The double-edged steel blade has an engraved mark on both sides (please see pics).  The dagger comes with it's original hand-tooled leather sheath.  In excellent antique condition.

Length (dagger excluding tassles) : 40 cm

Length (blade) : 22 cm

Length (in sheath including tassles) : 46.5 cm
