An EXCELLENT example of a Rhodesian Bush War, 1970s British South Africa Police Conversion 1907 Patt. 'Bush Knife' w/ Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All markings present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Blade has been shortened for Conversion purposes into a functional 'Bush Knife' & Press Stud mortise removed. Blade is exceptionally sharp.
This piece came in with a large consignment of BSAP/ Rhodesian Militaria - being a period piece. The practice of Bayonet to Knife Conversion was common amongst members of the Rhodesian Security Forces.
