An EXCELLENT example of a Rhodesian Bush War, 1970s Selous Scouts Carved Soapstone Bust. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse and reverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. This piece depicts a 'Troopie' of the Selous Scouts Unit wearing the Regimental Beret w/ Osprey Insignia.

The Selous Scouts , were the Rhodesian Army's premier Counter-Insurgency Unit , led by Colonel Ron Reid-Daly. This outfit specialized in irregular Warfare and Anti-guerilla techniques, perfecting elite light Infantry tactics.
