This incredible antique (c1890's) Victorian walnut octagonal "trumpet" sewing table work box with an array of compartments for sewing and needlework titbits measures 45cm across and is 75cm high.The inside is lined with the original inlay paper, with small compartments for sewing accoutrements and has dusty-pink velvet lidded compartments and a central lidded well for wools etc. The octagonal tapering walnut centre-well section with turned column stands on three beautifully carved legs. The sewing table is in good original condition with a great colouration to the walnut and has a lovely shine and patina. There is a little chipping to the veneer on the top and the top has had a professional repair (see pics). The legs are sturdy, and the table sits well on the ground. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this amazing antique walnut sewing table and to confirm the condition.
