THIS ITEM IS IN CAPE TOWN

This stunning and beautifully made antique Victorian solid wooden banqueting podium/ maître d' stand/ podium/ pulpit with substantial barley twist legs most likely dates to between 1850 and the early 1900's. Although the podium is painted white the wood is most likely either a English or a Tiger oak which which was predominantly used in this type of furniture over that period. The pulpit has amazing weight to it and is in stunning condition for its age. The podium is 145cm high x 59cm long x 49cm wide. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this incredible antique solid wooden podium and to confirm the condition.
