This awesome traditional blue and white Iranian Nain Persian carpet measures roughly 245cm longx 196cm wide. The carpet has age and usage related wear and tear and sun-bleaching in areas and also has some areas with carpet slip and fibre wear and tear and staining (see pics). The traditional Nain carpets are some of the most beautiful carpets in the world and are characterised by their oriental design. They are produced in the city of the same name, Nain. The typical blue white colouring, mostly with a medallion in the midfield, has an elegant and precious effect. The high quality of these beautiful Nain carpets is evident in the materials and the high knot density. The carpets often include silk and normally have a density of more than a million knots. Because carpet weavers from Nain worked with thinner wool, they began to weave carpets of a much higher quality.
