This incredible large yellow and beige/ cream colour Indian Dhurrie carpet is in beautiful condition and has minimal age and usage related wear and tear. The carpet measures a very decent 392cm long x 287cm wide. Dhurrie, sometimes spelled "dari," "durrie" or "durry," is a type of rug native to India and its surrounding regions, Burma, Pakistan and Afghanistan. These loom-woven rugs are made using techniques employed for centuries. The flat-weave design used to create Dhurrie rugs makes them both durable and decorative. The concept of Dhurrie is a little bit different from a rug or carpet, because they were used for bedding or packaging, and not only as a floor covering, but since the Dhurrie's serve the same purpose as a carpet or rugs they can be described as one.
