This stunning set of three original Irish made Waterford crystal liqueur glasses in the Lismore pattern are in beautiful condition and have absolutely no chips or cracks in any of the liqueur glasses. The engraved "Waterford" stamp is to be found on the base of the glasses. The glasses each measure roughly 8.8cm high x 4.2cm across. There are light scuffs on the base of the glasses which is to be expected. These are extremely elegant and top-quality glasses that have stunning weight to them. The name says it all!!!
The origins of the crystal production in Waterford dates back to 1783 when George and William Penrose started their business. It produced extremely fine flint glass that became world-renowned. However, their company closed in 1851. Waterford Crystal is a manufacturer of crystal and is named after the city of Waterford, Ireland. Waterford Crystal is owned by WWRD Group Holdings Ltd., a luxury goods group which also owns and operates the Wedgwood and Royal Doulton brands.
