Kurt Lossgott was the winner of the 2002 Competition to create the famous 4 meter high "Nelson Mandela and Child"  sculpture
at the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital in Umtata.
He is a world renowned sculptor focusing on Memorial Portrait Busts, large public sculptures and sculpted trophy design.
