NOTE : IN AMAZING CONDITION WIT NO DAMAGE
The Netsuke is depicting the celebrated motif of a wild and rustic Ashinaga, the long legged mythical South-Sea islander, yawning with mouth wide opened, arms and legs stretched above a wood stump, in an ingenious design that transforming the figure into the holder of a long stem bamboo pipe . Unfortunately the pipe did not come with the item; Sotheby's auction has a very similar one up for auction, also excluding the pipe with an estimate of 3000 pounds!!!
The only other one i could found looking exactly like this one is in a private collection.
