SCARCE ORIGINAL RHODESIAN ARMY FIRST-PATTERN EMBROIDERED SHOULDER TITLE BUSH WAR ERA

An excellent original Rhodesian Army RHODESIA shoulder title, identified as the desirable 1st Pattern reference C599.

This distinctive curved formation-style title features RHODESIA prominently embroidered in off-white/silver thread on a dark cloth field, surrounded by the characteristic deep green embroidered border.

The green detailing is particularly appropriate to Rhodesian Army insignia: green was strongly associated with several Rhodesian Army formations, while Rhodesian forces used a range of service and regimental colours during the period. 

The reverse retains its original dark woven/felt backing and shows genuine age, stitching impressions and evidence of previous uniform wear. This is exactly the sort of untouched character sought by collectors of original Rhodesian militaria.

This is not a modern reproduction-style shoulder flash. The older embroidery, backing material, irregular period construction and honest service wear give this example excellent display character.
