The unframed size is 78cm by 119cm

 

Self taught, Mind has always been interested in sketching what he see’s. Mind Shana's painting style expertly incorporates vivid colours and movement.

Even though he never received any formal training he started painting in 2002 and became a commercial artist in 2003. In 2006 he partook in the Black Like Us Art Exhibition at Manor Gallery run by Zanne Small, after which he became a fine artist.

 

Since that first exhibition he has received an award for a "Highly Recommended Painting" at the Manor Gallery, Black Like Us Art Exhibition in 2007. At the Manor Gallery, Black Like Us Art Exhibition in 2008 he received the award for the "Best Painting on Show" and also the First Prize. In 2009 at the Manor Gallery, Black Like Us Art Exhibition he received an award for a "Highly Recommended Painting" and also the Third Prize. His work is now exhibited at various art galleries in South Africa.
