Hi there, I have this exquiste pair of ceramic German Westerwald pitchers. Westerwald is an extremely rare and collectable form of German pottery, dating back to the 1600's. Pieces vary in qaulity, but these 2 pitchers are simply stunning, with beautiful detail and hand-craftmaship. Westerwald is valuable, with pieces selling on Ebay for over R50000 and older pieces being displayed in Meseums.
They are a truly extraordianary find and look fantastic on display. Unfortunately these pieces do have some issues. The spout has been repaired and the handle has been glued back on one of the pitchers, so there is fine hairline cracks where they have been restored. There are also 2 fine chips, the size of a pen nib.
The pitchers have a height of 220mm. One bid for both of them, secure courier for both is R150, please only serious bidders, Good Luck!
