Hi there, this book is absolutely stunning and a very collectable piece. First of all its condition is very good, with beautiful gold indentations, gold leaf edges, marbling on the inside covers and bound in leather. Its a high quality antique copy of a popular book.
What makes this piece special, however, is it was awarded and signed by Sir Henry Juta. Sir Henry Juta was an early South African Judge who also served as Speaker for the Cape House Assembly. Most notably, however, he is the newphew of Karl Marx.
Apart from being a lovely antique book in great condition, it is signed by a family member of the Father of Communism and a early prominent South African politician. A book like this is a priceless piece of history and a great find on the R1 auction.
