" The Brave Boer Boy and other stories is a collection of 36 stories told to the authors over the past 25 years. these stories have been illustrated with 92 line drawings by artist Bridget Randall and 58 photographs, most of which were copied by David while on the trail of the Anglo-Boer War. these stories mainly centre around the Karoo, where we farmed for many years, and horses and donkeys feature as largely in them as they featured in the lives of people a century ago."
