"SMITHS' SEA FISHES" BY MARGARET SMITH & P HEEMSTRA, FIRST EDITION, FIRST IMPRESSION, 1988, SOUTHERN BOOK PUBLISHERS, 1048 PAGES, 144 PLATES, ILLUSTRATED, HARDCOVER WITH COMPLETE INTACT DUSTJACKET, NO NAMES, INSCRIPTIONS ETC.

This was previously published as The Sea Fishes of Southern Africa by J.L.B. Smith from 1949 onwards. The dust wrapper is clean and bright with some shelf wear. The lamination at the top edges are creasing and lifting, and there is some creases, folding and tearing at the head of the spine. An excellent example of the definitive work.
