Conch Shell appears to be intact and has been converted with a Brass base ring into a lamp shade. ** ITEM IS SECOND-HAND AND WILL DISPLAY SIGNS OF AGE-RELATED SURFACE WEAR-  HAVING BEEN SUBJECT TO ALTERATION.**

A Stunning Example of an early 1900s, Art Nouveau Handcarved Cameo Scene Conch Shell. This piece remains in a well-preserved state, featuring an intricate and detailed intaglio relief. The scene depicts a Trio of female dancers in the Classical Grecian style , performing Choreia - the ancient song & dance ritual. This piece characterises the ' Belle Époque ' element that embraces expression through natural forms and flowing movement. The combination of undulating human figures and floral garland frameworks , produces an aesthetically pleasing piece for the observer. 

It must be Noted : The Conch  Shell retains a fitted Brass base ring , as a result of a later conversion / re-purposing as a Art-inspired lampshade.
