A Stunning and Elegant example of an 18th Century Georgian , English .925 Sterling Silver Pocket Knife with iridescent Mother of Pearl grip scales. This unique and hand-crafted Gentleman's accessory , has been clearly Hallmarked for the year 1794 with the Royal Duty emblem of His Britannic Majesty George III. A beautiful assemblage , such as this would have been produced upon private commission by Silversmiths Atkin & Oxley - for members of the Social Elite. The well executed luxuriant Wheat Sheaf engraving appears on both scales , remaining well defined and intact.
