An EXCELLENT example of a STUNNING, Early 20th Century Chinese/ Oriental Painted Gilt Cheroot/ Cigarette Case. This piece appears to be in a GOOD, USED state , with Bakelite intact & minor edge wear. Graphic design relief is mostly complete - save for areas of contact . Minor Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. 

The Case has been rendered in the form of Imitation Buffalo Horn and depicts a Crane as well as a Swallow, in mid flight on the obverse and reverse. Each figure has been handpainted in gilt with exceptional detail- a sought after addition to any ensemble.
