An EXCELLENT example of a STUNNING, Mid-20th Century Large Chinese Handpainted Ceramic Kwan Kung/ Xuanwu Deity Statuette. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All parts present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Handpainted finish appears complete, with Gilded accentuation present on figures features. Ceramic is intact.

The Kwan Kung/ Xuanwu Deity, are revered in Oriental / Eastern traditions as a protective and Guardian entity- securing safety of families and households. This Warrior-figure is strongly associated with the concept of stability in Feng-Shui traditional doctrine.
