100% Natural & Totally Untreated
A stunning 3.37 Carat Aquamarine from the legendary Batadal Mine in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. If you do not possess an Aquamarine, then change that now. This superb example has huge fire and sparkle, and would make a truly awesome ring. It is the most beautiful gemstone, and a member of a most prestigious family of minerals - the Beryl Group.
The highest concentration of aquamarine occurs with gem-bearing pegmatites located near the villages of Catugi, Ponto de Marambaia, and Padre Paraíso.
Just to the north-west of Catugi is the Arazuai-Itinga region with the Pioneer mine, Três Barras, Salinas, Serra do Urubu, and Ouro Fino aquamarine and tourmaline deposits.
Significant aquamarine finds in Minas Gerais included the near-flawless 244 lbs, 552,500 carat Papamel Aquamarine, found in 1910 from the Papamel mine (aka Batadal mine) along the Marambaia River, 12 miles east of the village of Ponto de Marambaia. This specimen comes from the Batadal Mine
The Aquamarine on Auction is the most subtle 'ice blue', it is virtually a beautiful flashing silver with just a slight hint of blue. It epitomises all that is so very special about this unique gemstone.
