Description of Painting:
I live in Barrydale in the Klein Karoo and am inspired on a daily basis by the beautiful wildlife and flora we have here. These sunbirds are regular visitors to my garden and are just gorgeous. I have painted the background gold to really make the bird pop and shimmer, capturing a bit of their magic when you're lucky enough to witness them in real life.
