A great-looking Copper Age Adventures of Superman #437 from February 1988, featuring Millennium Week 7 and a classic late-80s DC cover with Superman going fist-to-fist against the costumed villain Combattor while Lex Luthor watches from the foreground like the smug mastermind he is. This issue comes from the strong John Byrne/Jerry Ordway era of Superman storytelling, right in that post-Crisis period where DC was rebuilding the Man of Steel for a new generation. The cover has bold colour, strong Superman action, the Fifty Years Superman anniversary box, and that proper vintage DC newsstand-era feel. This copy presents nicely from the photos, with light visible handling/edge wear and minor corner wear, but overall it is a clean, attractive raw collector copy.
