' THE OLD FARM SCHOOL ' by Nick Stobart

Nick Stobart was born in Zimbabwe and finished all his schooling there. He trained as a teacher, and then taught for many years before becoming a headmaster. He left teaching to go farming and remained farming until his farm was taken by the Zimbabwean Government in 2002.

Nick and his wife Laura then moved to the South Coast of South Africa where they both taught at Creston College.

Nick has always painted, but turned professional after a series of painting lessons and strong encouragement from one of the world’s most highly rated wildlife artists, Craig Bone.

Nick’s main mediums are watercolours and acrylics but he does also do paintings in oils. His paintings are widely sold in Australia and New Zealand.

Nick currently teaches watercolours and acrylics from his art shop in Port Shepstone, where he also sells art supplies.
