Hi everyone, I'm part of the 2007 graduating class of Information Design students
from Pretoria University who are raising funds for a surprise/christmas/graduating
gift for the grounds staff of our department who have been there over all our years
of education.
We began the fund-raising effort a while back because Frans, a jolly groundsmen
who greets us on a daily basis, kept asking those of us students who arrived at class
on bicycles if he could have their bikes. It saddens us to think that while we are
priviledged enough to be attending university, there are men at our service alongside
us who do not even have the basic commodities such as a bicycle for transportation.
We dubbed the fund-raising effort the Frans Maleka Cycle Organisation on facebook which

Please give generously as we are in our final final stretch of collecting money in order
to surprise them with something nice this Christmas as our thanks to the department after
four years of study.
We will be surprising Frans, John & Lucky with three sets of bicycles and respective equipment
and gear. The bicycles are being held for us, we just need to raise the money to pay for them
and after all our efforts we are still a bit short.
Please contribute if you can and please tell all your friends who would also be willing to
join in on the spirit of christmas and help us TUKS students surprise those less fortunate

Every single cent contributed will go toward the purchase of three sets of bicycles and their respective equipment
and gear. Please please please give generously, we are in our final final stretch of collecting funds and need as
much as we can get in order to give them the biggest surprise possible.
All contributors will be emailed picture(s) of the handing over of the bicycles to our beneficiaries and any other
proof that you may wish to ask for. I am an open book, you may ask me anything you like.
