You are bidding on a very rare 1899 - 1902 Anglo Boer War Queen South Africa medal.

Medal comes with one clasp namely Transvaal and is correctly named to 1252 TPR: F. HULTMAN, STEINAECKERS HORSE.

This auction also includes a photogragh of Fredrick Hultman who served in the Steinaeckers Horse and was awarded this QSA.

Steinaeckers Horse was a very small South African unit which was established in Durban in 1900 and operated in the Transvaal area, which makes this QSA a very rare medal as there are so few from this unit.

I found this roll of enlisted men of the Steinaeckers Horse on a website with F. Hultman listed.

I bought this medal from a relative who lives here in Durban.
