The CX440 is a lightweight, yet sturdy photo/video tripod with a 3 way panhead and quick release camera platform.

The CX440 features Velbon's unique self adjusting centre column friction control, which prevents damage to expensive cameras if the column is suddenly released. Helical teeth on the geared elevator ensure positive, ultra smooth raising and lowering of the column which can be locked at any height.

D-profile legs provide a rock solid support, made from pure aluminium with "Velbonised" titanium finish, thay are 3 section legs with quick locks for fast and accurate positioning.

The stability of the CX-440 is further enhanced by the self locking leg braces.
