A great example of a 1972 Type issue Vietnamese Rangers Insignia Shoulder Patch, as worn by serving members of the Unit. This Light Infantry formation became active during the 1950s , as the elite element of the ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) in their struggle against Communist guerillas.

The Vietnamese Rangers acquired a reputation as an effective Counter-Insurgency & Conventional element , gaining noteriety during the Tet Offensive (1968) & the final Easter Offensive by the NVA (1973-74).
