This washing machine is approx. 12 years old and still runs (noisy) - it does require a good service and cleanout, and comes with free dust from standing in my garage the last 12 months! This item is being sold "as is", without any warranty or guarantee.

I replaced my Defy washing machine last year, and it's been standing in the garage collecting dust - I now need to get rid of it to create some space in the garage.

18 Programmes full manual control, Cold Wash, Half Load selector, No-Spin selector
Approx. 12 years old
Used weekly for 11 years
Never serviced by Defy
Cleaned regularly
The exterior metal case is in good nick with some minor wear and tear - minor scratches.
The stainless steel drum is still as new.
The white plastic front plates are a bit faded and look "yellowed" from age.
Dimensions: 80cm height, 60cm width, 48cm depth
Weight: unknown - very heavy...
NOTE: It's in working condition, but the last time it was used (approx. 12 months ago) it made a strange scraping noise occasionally when washing and spinning - as it was fairly old, I decided to replace with a larger 8kg model instead of repairing it - it probably just needs a very good internal cleanup and service
- all spares for the older Defy models are readily available from Defy in Denver (JHB), and from what I can remember when I replaced our tumble-dryer doorcatch and motor, they are fairly inexpensive.
- It is therefore being sold to the highest bidder "as is" without any warranty or return.
- It is also being sold with the dust that has collected whilst standing in the garage...
Due to the size and weight, the buyer will have to collect it from my Randburg premises at their own expense. I unfortunately do not have the transport to deliver this item anywhere.
