An EXCELLENT example of a  WW1 (1914-18) German Kyffhäuser Union Veteran's Bronze Medal with Swords  This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, and retains the Swords applique for participation in Frontline combat. The original Ribbon has been subject to extensive Age-related wear. Surface gilding on Medal remains largely complete. 

These Medals were issued to former Imperial German Army Servicemen , who were members of the Post-1918 Veteran's Organization - to acknowledge War service & acts of Frontline bravery.
